ACE in Action: Storer College
For over a decade, I had the privilege of working on the campus of Storer College - a former HBCU in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia now preserved by the National Park Service. Storer College worked as my laboratory for meaning-making. The history of nearly a century of black people rising was the perfect landscape to try new and emerging interpretive best practices.
This video captures one of my favorite interpretive examples from my tenure at Mather Training Center - retrofitting a traditional exhibit to be interactive, engaging, and invite meaningful visitor expression.
